HUP

Our High Utilization Positive (HUP) batteries feature a design that's so unique, it's patented. EnerSys teamed up with DuPont chemists to design a flooded battery that's so dependable, it's backed by the longest standard warranty in the business (5 year full warranty + 2 years pro-rated). It ensures you receive more runs per shift, a higher capacity for sustained performance during each shift, and less maintenance downtime.

HUP offers a battery plate that virtually eliminates flaking and shedding of positive plate materials - the chief reason for battery failure. Tetrafluorethylene, or Teflon® (Dupont registered trademark for PTFE resins.), was added to the lead paste used in active material of the positive plate. The Teflon forms fibers, and these fibers create a complex matrix that traps and binds the active material together. The material is then locked into place during a controlled curing process. The result - shedding and flaking are virtually eliminated, the lead paste remains cohesive, and contact with the positive grid remains in place longer than in standard batteries.

RENEGADE

The Renegade is a superior gelled battery that's virtually maintenance free. Unlike flooded batteries, the Renegade never needs water and the gel won't run, creep or spill.

The vertical design of the Renegade optimizes space, allowing the largest battery to fit in standard truck battery footprints. This provides for greater power, proper counter-weight, increased stability, and even efficient heat dispersion.

A unique pressure valve maintains proper, constant, internal pressure for oxygen recombination, extending battery life, and virtually eliminating odors and environmental concerns.

Insulated connectors deliver constant, maximum electrical capacity, with no maintenance required. And a new jar cover design improves post seal, eliminates acid creeping, and prevents dryout. It all adds up to the best "maintenance-free" battery in the business!

Renegade Power Pak
Renegade’s Power Pak features a battery and charger, all in one rugged steel case that never needs to be opened. You can charge light and medium duty batteries conveniently and automatically. General Power Pak
The General Power Pak combines our 12V or 24V battery with a self-contained, plug-in charger. Each General Battery Power Pak features all the long-life components of its larger companions. You get economical, dependable performance for all jobs – from pallet jacks to stand-up riders, tuggers and order-pickers. The built-in charger uses Silicon Controlled Rectifier (SCR) technology and dv/dt termination. The result: fully automatic, convenient, foolproof charging, anywhere you need it. GENERAL

The General Chargers consist of a complete line of single-phase and three-phase chargers for every charging need. These rugged chargers have been designed with the benefits you expect from the industry's largest battery and charger company.

The General Charger is a fully automatic ferroresonant charger for maximum battery protection with added flexibility in a universal control board.

The General Series control board with programmable digital data, delivers total battery management with LEDs for refresh and equalize all on one easy-to-use, easy-to-read digital display.

Optional Classic Control includes the following features: auto start/stop; precise termination that tracks rates of change of battery voltage (dvdt) or time voltage (t/v) termination; manual equalize; and easy to read LED indicators (charging, 80% indicator, charge complete, and equalize)

Deluxe Control includes all classic control features, plus: Four digit/seven segment display (volts per cell, AH returned, delay time, total charge time, and fault condition by default mode); and, programmable delay start (charge time limit, 80% limit, and cool down)

RENEGADE

SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) Technology with time-voltage termination starts and stops the charging cycle. The Renegade Charger recognizes optimum charging capacity in every battery and adjusts to meet each battery’s needs. It regulates the starting and finishing current for a complete charge. And with the charger’s I-E-I characteristic, your battery remains cool during charging.

COBRA

Cobra and Cobra Gold Battery Chargers blend Silicon Controlled Rectifiers (SCR) with Ferroresonant efficiency for a Cobra Finish. This unique technology thrives in both hot and cold environments, and while charging high-gravity batteries. Only a Cobra ensures a complete recharge under every operating condition possible.

Cobra Chargers allow you to program the finish rate you need. The SCRs provide a constant finish current regardless of battery voltage. LITTLE GIANT

The Little Giant Charger is quality engineered to provide safe, automatic, trouble-free recharge of lead-acid batteries for pallet trucks, light-duty narrow-aisle trucks, small sit-down rider trucks, sweepers, and personal carriers. General Battery’s unique automatic start-stop control delivers the benefits of larger industrial chargers in an affordable package:

•  Recharge 12-volt batteries up to 550 A.H. and 24/36-volt batteries up to 900 A.H. in 16 hours.
•  Automatic Start reduces operator error and the risk of electrical shock.
•  Automatic Stop maximizes battery life by sensing and delivering the right amount of charge each and every charge cycle.
•  Backup system provides backup timing to terminate the charge in the event of a problem with normal termination.
•  Emergency Stop Switch to interrupt the charge cycle for any reason and provide safe termination.
•  In the event of a power failure, the charge cycle is resumed at the point it was interrupted.

ALC 1224

The ALC-1224 charger is unique because it can automatically and easily recharge a range of light duty batteries - including the long-life HUP and maintenance-free Renegade batteries.

Designed to recharge light duty 12 and 24-volt batteries, the charger automatically senses battery voltage and adjusts itself for the appropriate recharge cycle. It utilizes SCR technology with dvdt termination that automatically starts and stops the process, minimizes ambient heat generation, water usage, and over or under charging. The result is extended battery life.
